GER – Stronachie Langfassung | Franziska Schiedung (sie/ihr, they/them) lebt und arbeitet als Filmemacher*in, Autor*in und Filmwissenschaftler*in in Berlin. Nach Aufenthalten in den USA, Großbritannien und Neuseeland erhielt Franziska einen Bachelorabschluss in Film- und Theaterwissenschaft an der Freien Universität Berlin. Franziska studierte zunächst an der HFF München Filmregie und gründete dann die inklusive Initiative „Asylum Film Academy“ sowie das Filmproduktionslabel Chihuahua Arthouse. Franziskas filmische Themen behandeln Fragen zu Konstruktionen von Zugehörigkeit und Abweichung sowie Produktions-, Ordnungs- und Selektionsverfahren narrativer Beschreibungen verschiedener Realitätswahrnehmungen. Als autistische Filmemacher*in praktiziert Franziska freudvoll Stimming mit Lyrik oder flauschigen Worten wie SchwimmSchuh. Franziskas Arbeiten wurden u.a. auf dem Max Ophüls Preis Filmfestival, Webfest Berlin, London Webfest und New Zealand Webfest vorgestellt.

ENG – Extended Stronachie version | Franziska Schiedung (she/her, they/ them) is a filmmaker, writer and film scholar based in Berlin and has traveled and worked in the United States, Great Britain and New Zealand. Franziska earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Theatre Studies at Free University Berlin. Franziska continued to study film directing at the University of TV + Film Munich before moving on to launching the inclusive initiative „Asylum Film Academy“ as well as the film production label Chihuahua Arthouse. Franziska’s filmic themes are committed to questions about the construction of belonging and divergence and how different perceptions of reality and their narratives are produced, selected and presented. As an autistic filmmaker Franziska happily stims by repeating poetry or fluffy words such as Schwimm-Schuh. Franziska’s works have been presented at various film festivals, including Max Ophüls Preis Filmfestival, Webfest Berlin, London Web Fest and New Zealand Web Fest.
